There is a humanitarian crisis in our world. People are dying of COVID, and these post covid effects like hunger, mental stress, suicide, loans, unemployment are eating us alive. In a small developing country like Nepal, the economy is failing. Some unavoidable natural calamities like floods and landslides are also surging. These times are hard for everyone.

Everything around us seems like a bad dream. The basic needs can’t be fulfilled. Essential items are beyond the reach of the common man. Oxygen is in short supply, medicine is not accessible. Food is scarce. Students can’t pay their fees, teachers cannot earn, public schools and colleges are forever closed. Personally, I couldn’t college pay my fee once and didn’t get enrolled in the next semester. I also lost friends and relatives due to covid. Lost a friend by suicide. Well, everyone is struggling.

But amidst these challenges, I believe everyone can make small positive differences in our little corners. Not everyone can dedicate their lives to change, as some of us have to work or go to college and focus on our families and ourselves.

But if you are already capable to make a difference from your work, from advocacy, for government office, from wherever you are, your little corners to the big horizon, I urge you to create change. Not everyone has to constantly compromise and live. Not everyone has to struggle.

We can collectively thrive and flourish with the initiatives, projects, and works. I salute everyone who has been the catalyst of change, who did made difference in these hard times.

More than anything, I believe things will change and good days will come ahead. After all, every human being survives on hope.

We human beings are the highest form of intelligence on this planet. We are not just meant to survive but to progress and build a better future.
